The Crytur Award is a prestigious competition that annually recognizes the best master's theses in the field of materials science. Its goal is to support master's students in applying theoretical knowledge in practice, highlight innovative approaches, and also acknowledge the work of academic supervisors.
Who Can Participate?
The competition is intended for students of master's programs at Czech and Slovak universities who are engaged in:
• studying the physical and chemical properties of materials,
• materials processing and preparation technologies,
• applying materials in physics and related fields.
Timeline for the 2025 Edition:
• January 27, 2025 – Competition announcement
• September 30, 2025 – Application deadline
• October 15, 2025 – Final deadline for thesis submission
• December 2025 – Award ceremony at Crytur, spol. s r.o. (exact date to be confirmed)
Prizes for Winners:
1st place: CZK 40,000 for the student + CZK 10,000 for the thesis supervisor
2nd place: CZK 30,000 for the student + CZK 5,000 for the thesis supervisor
3rd place: CZK 20,000 for the student + CZK 5,000 for the thesis supervisor
